It’s November already, and once again I’m wondering how this past year has flown by so quickly. So many new and wonderful memories created, and blessings received over the past 12 months, and I couldn’t be more grateful for family, friends, and our community. I would especially like to thank past and present clients who were instrumental in helping both myself and Joni realize another year of recognition in the top five percent of Denver area REALTORS®. Our goal is always to represent our clients with the utmost professionalism, integrity, and success, so that designation is especially appreciated with the challenging market over the past year.
November is also the month to recognize and thank all the men and women who have served and are currently serving. We truly appreciate your commitment and service to protect our rights and freedom!
As we approach the holiday season of giving I would, once again, like to take this opportunity to shamelessly plug the importance of supporting our community of locally owned small businesses and artists. They are an important part of our “collective community” of friends, family, and neighbors. During this time of year, I’m also reminded that community is more than simply a place or a group, but also a way of “being with each other.” Life is better when we look for the common ground and what’s best in each other. It makes us a stronger, better, and more resilient community—one which I am thankful, grateful, and very blessed to be a part of.

The holiday season is upon us. A time to express appreciation for the people, experiences, and opportunities that enrich our lives. As we take a moment to give thanks and celebrate with our families and our communities – let’s not forget the uniquely valuable small, local businesses that are at the heart of our communities.
In today’s fast-paced world, shopping has never been more convenient with online giants and big-box stores offering rapid delivery and low prices. But, unlike mass retailers, small businesses and local shop owners offer personal relationships, leading to better service and customized recommendations. Whether it’s a handmade candle or boutique clothing, these businesses offer a personal touch that can’t be replicated.
The holiday season is a crucial time for small businesses. Events like “Small Business Saturday” remind us to support the shops that keep our communities vibrant. But it’s important to continue that support throughout the year to ensure these businesses thrive.
This holiday season, when shopping for a gift, a service, or just a little treat for yourself, consider visiting our local businesses first. Every purchase makes a meaningful difference, helping build a stronger, more connected community for everyone.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Dawa
