Imagination! What you plan and how you carry out your plans for a romantic time is what makes Valentine’s Day Special. It’s no different with buying a home. Valentine’s Day is just one day of the year while buying a home can last a life time. If you and your honey are on the same path and goal, you can create enough love to last forever. Planning for a house is no different. Here are a few ideas to help you save some money while creating memories.

  1. Instead of spending lots of money on an expensive dinner where you might not get what you paid for, plan on a picnic in your living room. Pack a dinner or Bar-B-Que, or bring home prepared dishes from the grocery and present it like a picnic. If you have children include them in this special family meal. Light candles, play music, it’s the little touches and changes that make it memorable. It also saves you money.
  2. Instead of flowers, make flowers from tissue, or cut flowers from used cards. Share these with people who don’t have anyone, maybe at the hospital, shelter, senior home. What you share with others will last forever. The money you save on buying flowers, put away for the “House.”
  3. Hire yourself out once or twice a week to mow lawns, shovel snow, babysit, clean cars, within your neighborhood. Share what you are doing and why with people so they can help. If you rent in an area you want to buy let your neighbors know. Your neighbors will want to help keep you as a neighbor. Save the money you earn.

Doing this for a few months or over the next year can make that next Valentine’s Day your best yet. But meanwhile you have created memories and made friends that could last forever. Call Frank, Jan and Mitch to help you find that special program that will create you dream home memory at 303-450-1650.
