Somehow this year, even with the crazy weather we’ve had, we find ourselves beginning Summer 2016! It would seem that summer attire and all of the fun activities that go with warmer weather are in our forecast. I know for a fact, that many of those activities are in our magazine! Do read through all sections of the magazine and you’ll find many good events to put on your calendar for the months to come! We hope to see you there! Read about all of our advertisers’ amazing offers and introduce yourself to the many new businesses in The Brighton Buzz. We welcome them all and hope you’ll give them a call or stop by!

For those of you that need a little more inspiration to feel excited about summer coming, I’ve done some research to find out What’s So Special About June? And….to my surprise, I came across a number of resources that listed some moments to commemorate for weeks in June and days in June. So, if you’re looking for something special to think about as the days of this month roll by, take a look at the list below and celebrate any one of these special times.

WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT JUNE????
June is Country Cooking Month, Flag Month, Lemon and Mango Month, National Camping Month, and National Smile Month

  • The First Week of June is International Clothesline Week
  • The Second Week of June is World Menopause Week
  • The Third Week of June is Universal Father’s Week
  • The Fourth Week of June is National Camping Week
  • The Fifth Week of June is Special Recreation Week
  • June 1st is Pen Pal Day
  • June 8th is Upsy Daisy Day
  • June 14th is Flag Day
  • June 17th is National Flip Flop Day
  • June 19th is Father’s Day this year
  • June 23rd is National Pink Day
  • June 27th is Happy Birthday to You Day

This interesting information came from My Country Loft & Stampin’ With Blythe. With a bit more of a local touch, don’t forget to go to Summerfest, June 4th, in Brighton and enjoy all of those festivities from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the afternoon. It’s one of Brighton’s biggest annual events and you won’t want to miss it! Head downtown and kick off your summer at this amazing event.

The best of Summer Days to all our readers,

Susan
