At the risk of causing late Spring snow flurries, the definitive Spring has Sprung may have to be in our minds and happy thoughts about the increasingly warmer weather. It’s a fact we’re all ready for Spring! This issue is full of Spring offers that inspire you to begin planning, planting, and starting your projects that will bring countless hours of joy when we can officially count on April Showers Bringing May Flowers and the pleasure of Spring.
There are also a number of events in this issue that should go on your calendar. The Spring Festival that has become a wonderful family event in Brighton will be on April 13th from noon to 4 p.m. on Main Street in Historic Downtown Brighton. Gathering eggs from the event’s many vendors is one of the biggest egg hunts in the area. Main Street will be alive with activity as well as the stores ready to welcome you with their Easter/Spring items and refreshments. There are many other local activities advertised for you to attend. Enjoy the excitement of Spring in your own back yard! Also, note the Easter Services being held at The Orchard Church (on our cover) as well as Brighton United Methodist Church on page 59.
Below are a few thoughts to ponder about Spring. Just the thought of the season generally can bring you happiness, and we hope these quotes will add to your appreciation of the beauty on its way.
“Behold, my friends, the spring is come. The earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun, and we shall soon see the results of their love!” – Sitting Bull
“Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in a low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. Then Spring will come!” – Robert H. Schuller
Happy Easter from all of us,
