Who loves pizza and beer? Brighton! Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom opened their doors on May 8th of this year in the Prairie Center in Brighton.

Founded in 1976 in Boulder, CO, Old Chicago has brought delicious, hand crafted pizza and a world class beer list to 22 states and more than 100 stores nationwide. “We are excited and proud to be a part of the Brighton community.” states General Manager Anna Wells.

Grand Opening. There were over 100 guests in line at Old Chicago Brighton on opening day to receive Free Pizza for a Year.

Giving Back. In celebration of the new store, Old Chicago Brighton partnered with Brighton school district 27J for its pre and post opening fundraising. Old Chicago took reservations, offering free meals to guests during their pre-opening weekend. All that was asked of the guests was to make a donation to Brighton 27J. In addition, their first month open, a percentage of online to-go orders, plus $1 from every Chicago 7 Pizza sold was added to the fundraising total. Old Chicago presented the check to the school district on June 9th, for a grand total of $12,416.68! Brighton school district 27J Superintendent, Dr. Chris Fiedler stated “Their efforts to raise funds in support of public education show how deeply they care about their customers and the communities they do business in, plus the food is really good!…”
