Medicare has been pretty consistent…until 2025

August 15, 20242 min read

There is a lot of buzz around the changes that are about to take place in the Medicare world for 2025.  What I have noticed from listening to a few different Webinars on the topic is that this will mostly impact the Medicare Part D coverage.

The great thing is that the coverage changes are actually in favor of the person on Medicare.  The downside is the insurance companies are going to have to figure out how to offset the cost of all the awesome enhancements for Medicare members.

Since negotiations and fine tuning are still underway, we are not sure which plans will be impacted.  Something to keep in mind is that two types of plans will be impacted: Medicare Advantage plans that include prescription coverage and stand alone Prescription Drug Plans.

There have been whisperings about plans possibly leaving the area or making changes to the monthly premiums.  As we prepare for what is to come, please know that you will get a letter from your current plan letting you know if your plan will be changing.  This letter will likely come in September so be sure to open all your mail.

If you are currently on a Medicare Advantage Plan, you might see a reduction in added benefits.  We are hopeful that plans will keep the three favorite added benefits of dental, vision and hearing.  However, you might see a loss or reduction in the extras like additional money for fitness equipment, over-the-counter products or groceries.

There is no need for panic right now. Please just be on the lookout for the changes to your plan.  If you find out that your specific plan will not be offered in 2025 or you are losing benefits that you really like, we can help you make a plan change during the Annual Enrollment Period, Oct. 15 - Dec. 7. Just call our office to schedule an appointment.

Testimonials

I got a call from Susan at the Brighton Buzz asking if I wanted to advertise n the next issue. My response was that I either needed to keep my ad running or fold the business.

About 90% of the calls that I receive include a comment like, ”I saw your ad in the Brighton Buzz….

The majority of my calls take me inside a home, it is not unusual for somebody to pick up a copy of the Buzz and say they found me right there. The Buzz that they show me is frequently not the latest issue. The Buzz has great holding power! At the same time, I can always tell when The Buzz has hit mailboxes. My phone starts ringing. A lot of people seem to look through it right away.

The cost per home is low, the cost per response is reasonable. Am I going to continue to advertise in the Brighton Buzz? You can count on it!
