Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined. Yet some of these deaths can be prevented with advanced and timely care. To further advance cardiovascular services in Brighton, the Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation kicks off its newest fundraising campaign this month.
The new campaign seeks to raise awareness of cardiovascular disorders as well as build capital resources for these services at Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC). Some of the funds will enable PVMC to bring new technology and equipment to the hospital’s Cath Lab, and expand capabilities to provide 24/7 cardiovascular access to the community. The Foundation also hopes to add equipment and resources in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department. In addition to fundraising, the campaign will include community education on heart healthy nutrition and lifestyle changes, heart attack signs and symptoms, and cardiovascular treatments.
One hundred percent of all proceeds will support this initiative. Through your support of this campaign, the Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation can make cardiovascular care 24/7 accessible, and help our community life a heart healthy life.
