Bromley East Charter School is thrilled to share all the exciting changes that are taking place for the upcoming 2016/2017 school year. We are currently under construction to expand the campus to accommodate 250 more students, kindergarten through eighth grade, which will help to alleviate the overcrowding issues within the 27J School District. There will be a new middle school wing consisting of sixteen new classrooms, a new auxiliary gymnasium, and a state-of-the-art 350 seat auditorium which will hold school events and accommodate our expanding drama program. The new science labs will have all the latest cutting-edge equipment for our students to enjoy.
At Bromley East Charter School, we believe in promoting the arts in addition to academic excellence, so we are looking forward to utilizing the new drama, band, and art classrooms. It is important for our students to have the tools necessary as technology is integrated more and more in everyday instruction and curriculum. Therefore, every middle school student will have their own tablet, computer or iPad and elementary students will have technology classes in their schedules along with music, art, physical education and leadership.
Our gifted and talented program offers students an opportunity to thrive by providing a challenging curriculum and environment while being clustered with like thinkers. Being a leadership school, students learn to become the leaders of tomorrow through the Leader in Me program based on the principles of Steven Covey’s The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People which encourages responsibility, problem-solving, teamwork and communication.
