In the past months I have given you many do’s and don’ts regarding some specific topics. But this month we’ll cover the DO’s and in October we’ll look at the DON’Ts to ensure an effortless loan process. These DO’s and DON’Ts will help you avoid delays and costly challenges with loan approval. Please note: if you encounter a special situation, it is best to mention it to your loan officer right away so they can best help you determine the best way to achieve your goals.

DO’s

  • DO call your Loan Officer if you have questions
  • DO provide requested documentation promptly and in its entirety.
  • DO continue living at your current residence (contact your loan officer in an emergency).
  • DO continue making your mortgage or rental payments.
  • DO continue to use your credit as normal.
  • DO keep working at your current employer.
  • DO keep your same insurance company.
  • DO stay current on all existing accounts.
  • DO contact your Loan Officer in an emergency or when there is any change to your current situation.
