denver-american-indian-festivalsPlease join us for the 2016 Denver American Indian Festival. This will be our third year for this well attended event. Everyone is invited to watch and participate in Native American culture, song, dance, art, food and crafts. FREE: Live continuous entertainments (with shaded seating), Kid’s Zone where children can make Native crafts; adult crafts and demonstrations and a Raptor Show. We have 30 Native vendors who will display art, jewelry and crafts for sale. Our authentic Fry Bread and Indian Tacos can be purchased all day. We will also have a silent auction. No Admission Fee.

You will be welcomed to experience a very educational and fun event that is open to all persons, all ages and great for families. An outreach charity will accept winter clothing and boots, non-perishable food and Christmas toys to benefits Native Americans assisted by the U.S. Army Recruiters.

The Festival is to affirm the value and role of the tradition and culture of Native Americans living in harmony within our community, and is intended to build bridges of understanding, respect, and acceptance and to provide this in a relaxed, free and fun environment for all to enjoy. The event is entirely run by volunteers, Native and non-Native, and we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. There were 69 different tribal representatives that participated in 2015.

RAIN OR SHINE. The event is located at 3960 East 128th Avenue, Thornton, CO, just west of 128th and Colorado Blvd. Event dates are Saturday, September 24th from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, September 25th from noon to 6 pm.
