Fun grows in Brighton!

The “Flix and Kicks” concerts and movies in the park series is back to entertain crowds of all ages this summer! New this year, the series will alternate park locations for its movies to bring the fun to all of Brighton’s neighborhoods.

2017 Lineup

    • Thursday, June 8: Sean Curtis and the Divide (Country) at Carmichael Park
      Sean Curtis and the Divide are a rapidly up-and-coming, Rocky Mountain-based, country music act fronted by season 12 American Idol contestant, and Wyoming country music singer/songwriter Sean Curtis. They’ve played side by side with Cowboy Troy during Cheyenne Frontier Days and have set the stage by opening for national acts such as: Thompson Square, Aaron Watson, Craig Campbell, Josh Gracin and rock legends, Great White and Firefall.
    • Thursday, June 15: E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (PG) at Benedict Park.
      This event will partner with Bike Brighton’s Nike Night, also scheduled for this evening.
    • Thursday, June 22: The Martini Shot (Horn-Powered Pop-Rock)at Carmichael Park
      The Martini Shot is a seven-piece, horn-powered, Pop-Rock cover and original band based out of Southern Colorado. The Martini Shot has released four original projects with major influences of Barenaked Ladies, Reel Big Fish, 311, and many others. The band’s latest awards include the 2014 Best of Pueblo (Pueblo Chieftain), the 2015 Best of the Springs (Colorado Springs Gazette), and the 2013 Best Cover Band (Indy Music Awards – Colorado Springs Independent).
    • Thursday, June 29: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (PG-13) at Dewey Strong Park
    • Tuesday, July 4: Erica Brown with The Movers & Shakers (High-Energy Rock & Roll, Soul and R&B) at Carmichael Park.
      This event will partner with the Fourth of July Celebration also scheduled for this evening. Born out of former musical ensembles, this fresh super-group combines old with new in more ways than one! Drawing from the generational sway in the members of the band, they’re able to pull off the classic, groovy soulfulness of old-school rhythm n’ blues with a modern, invigoratingly fresh twist.
    • Thursday, July 13: Finding Dory (PG) at Brighton Park, located at the Brighton Recreation Center.
    • Thursday, July 20: That Eighties Band (80s Tribute Band) at Carmichael Park.
      This event will partner with the City Barbecue, also scheduled for this evening. Denver is home to That Eighties Band, one of the most popular 80s tribute bands in America. The group has performed at more than 1,200 concerts, corporate events and weddings. Past clients include Google, Disney, Pepsi, The Denver Broncos and many more. CBS named them the top cover band in Denver!

All concerts will entertain crowds from 7-9 p.m. with exception of July 20 which will be held from 6-8 p.m. All movies will begin at dusk. Admission is free and seating is first come, first serve.
