Providing mental health care during a global pandemic is more important than ever. At least 1 in 5 children have a diagnosable mental health condition. When these conditions are left unaddressed, this can lead to a decrease in quality of life or worse. Rates of depression and anxiety in children and adolescents continue to rise. Suicide continues to be a leading cause of death in adolescents in most states. It is well known that early access to mental health services makes the greatest impact on these challenges.
Premier Pediatrics, continues to expand mental health services. Our inperson therapist, Heather Fass (pictured) of Integrated Care Institute, is currently providing mental health care to our patients with the following insurances: Anthem BCBS, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Cigna. She also accepts self-pay clients. While Heather notes the importance of in-person counseling, she does o er teletherapy sessions to accommodate her clients’ comfort and accessibility needs. We also continue to offer Telehealth appointments with a therapist or a psychiatrist through AccessCare to the following insurances: United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Medicaid, and Colorado Access.
Premier Pediatrics is committed to eliminating the barriers to mental health through these services and hope many of our precious children,
adolescents, and young adults will benefit greatly. For more information, call: 303-655-1685.
