Since opening their doors on October 27, 2016, the owners of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Brighton on 42nd Avenue and Bridge Street have been thrilled by the positive feedback they have received. While they knew there was a need for new food selection in our city, the positive response from the community has been overwhelming. The owners, Jeff and Kristen Hood, are natives to the area, with their two boys going to BHS and Vikan. They wanted to bring something to the community in an area of the city with few options for dining out.
Serving fresh, never frozen, meats that are smoked on site daily, Dickey’s has been around since 1941. Beginning in a small locale in Dallas, Texas, the company has grown to over 500 stores in the United States alone. Dickey’s corporate has created a new model this year that appeals to everyone, including health conscious consumers, with no fried foods and leaner meats offered.
