Susan KlineWe are the lucky ones, to be sure! Why, you might ask? The answer is clear. We live in and around an area that has some of the best produce in all of Metro Denver. The fresh produce from the area’s farms is magnificent and available for all of our readers to enjoy! This is one of those times when stopping by a local market daily for fresh sweet corn, fruit and vegetables on the way home from work is a special gift and a great way to stay healthy. Please note the full page ad on page 36 that highlights some of Brighton’s best markets.

Our cover advertiser, Palizzi Farm, will celebrate with their Labor Day Weekend event from September 1st through September 4th. Sunday, September 3rd will be a day of highlighted activities with live music, food, contests, a dunk tank, and Fireworks at dusk. While Palizzi’s vegetables with be available through early October, this is the time to buy the season’s best vegetables at the most reasonable prices to freeze or can for the months when you’re missing the taste of their nutrient packed delicacy. On Saturday, September 2nd, Palizzi Farm will be giving each attendee a free ear of roasted corn in appreciation for their valued support of their market which is 41 years old this year. Don’t miss this wonderful event!

The Brighton BuzzWe’re also going to see many children heading back to school this month. The summer goes way too fast and families will go back to the school schedules that keep everyone on their toes working toward having a successful school year. A number of our advertisers have put in Back to School specials, so read through the magazine to take advantage of this time of year’s best deals.

If you haven’t had an opportunity to enjoy summer yet, there’s still time to do it. Make it a priority to do something you enjoy during this season and create some special memories.
