Offered by Whitney Branch, Brighton Family Counseling
Women today are moving through life stressed-out and exhausted more often than not. So many of us struggle to find the time and energy to care for ourselves well. Busy-ness can even be seen as badge of honor for women these days, leaving us exhausted with a nagging sense that we are not enough. While stress certainly impacts men as well as women, research suggests that women are more likely to doubt our own capacity to cope with the stress in our lives. As nurturers, many women will also choose to care for the needs of others while neglecting our own.
At Brighton Family Counseling we are passionate about helping people move toward more full and authentic lives. We provide the practical tools and safe space our clients need to cultivate inner strength, so they can face the demands of life with a sense of hope rather than anxiety and dread. One of the ways we do this is through our counseling groups, which foster connection between individuals who are going through similar struggles in life. Beginning September 21, we will be offering a 6 week empowerment group for stressed out women. We will cover a variety of topics from perfectionism and self-doubt to gratitude and joy, using Brene Brown’s book, “Gifts of Imperfection” as a guide. If you feel as though the pressures of life have left you in perpetual “survival mode,” we would love you to join us this Fall as we journey together from surviving to thriving. You can sign up today by calling 720-373-5731.
